The Old Stables
One of our most recent success stories took place at The Old Stables. Here, Construct Building Contractors were appointed to convert an old, run down barn into four Passivhaus dwellings. It was a mammoth task for us, given that the dilapidated building dated back to the 1850’s and is situated on a flood plain in Clyst St. Mary.
Despite all the challenges presented to us, we were able to incorporate sustainable features, such as energy efficient appliances and solar panels, all the while utilising sustainable building materials and practices. Internally, the property’s blend of rustic and modern elements create a unique and inviting living environment, paying homage to the building’s agricultural roots, while providing all the comforts of contemporary living.
